Kat Lewis

Starting out in advertising at Saatchi & Saatchi, Kat went on to study BA Journalism at City University London and MA Creative Writing at Goldsmiths where she was awarded an interdisciplinary PhD, Reimagining the Eulogist (2021). Kat is a trustee of Vanguard Readings. She was ACE funded Writer in Residence at Migrants Organise and her collaborative spoken word work was performed at RichMix. Her journalism has appeared in magazines including Time Out, Mslexia and Psychologies Magazine. She has had short prose has been published by Vanguard Editions and fiction shortlisted for the Pat Kavanagh Prize. She was editor of Migrant Writes (2020) and contributing editor to anthologies Qorrox (2018), The Future House (2018), Imagine Your Shadow (2017), The Mathematics of Survival (2017), A City Imagined (2016) and UN-MUTE (2015). Kat has previously worked at Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, Index on Censorship and The Orwell Prize.
