Cheri Allcock

Cheri is a visual artist, musician and writer living in Margate. With a BA in Art History & Fine Art from Goldsmiths, Mmus Ethnomusicology & Performance from SOAS and an MFA Fine Art: Art Society Nature from the Margate School, her practice spans a mix of celluloid and song with drawn/hand-made elements. Her most recent film ‘Something about Dreams’ is research centered film charting her friendship with Zohra, an artist and painter living in the Northern Mountains of Morocco and her family’s harvest of the prickly pear. Cheri works in education and outreach and is part of the Tangier-based cooperative 'Momkin' which works with young people in the circus arts, music and craft.  Cheri has written songs and poems which she sometimes performs at local events and open mics.
